Ozoners?
What’s that?
The slang word “ozoners” was coined in the 1950’s,
as a synonym for drive-in theatres.
What are the production requirements?
On-screen: post-production flat and scope elements
(35mm internegatives & optical tracks) must be supplied
at least 4 weeks prior to the campaign’s start date. Some
1/2" VHS videotaped screening copies might be required
for preview purposes.
Radio: spots must be submitted at least 3 weeks
prior to the start date.
Samples: must be available 2 weeks prior to
launch. Samples must be properly packaged and light enough for
ease of handling and distribution. Food and beverage sampling
is prohibited.
Are there any rules or regulations
to consider?
We are not governed by the CRTC, but some provinces do require
film classification for on-screen promotions. All campaigns
are subject to approval by the Ozoners Network.
Can I pick and choose markets?
Yes. We handle many provincial and regional campaigns, however
you will receive your best value on national campaigns. Email
us with your particular request.
What screens encompass the
Ozoners Network?
A bulk of independent drive-in theatres, both French and English.
It is Canada’s only Drive-In Theatre merchandising network.
